I updated a couple of things and added a picture of art all state 2007. As you can see, there are quite a number of students that attend this event, and they all come from different area’s of Massachusetts. I remember, quite clearly, the feverish activity and the pace at which we worked. It was a challenge to work with limited materials and then use those materials to express an idea or statement. Yet the things we accomplished with just toe tags, butcher paper, and masking tape was amazing. Of course that was only my groups materials, there were several other groups and each group had its own idea. I suppose the statement; Limits, No Limits, does bring about true creativity. But i think this is true in the real world as well, when an artist is limited with guidelines and the materials they must work in, the artist must push their creativity to the limits, and in doing that they make art that would not have been created had those limits not been in place.
